J’ai le plaisir de jouer avec ce bijou reçu d’Italie en 2020.
Ce fut très intéressant de discuter avec le concepteur Adrian Kirchler des spectres et de
constater qu’il fait tout par lui-même. Il y a même une gravure de mon nom sur la
caisse. Je m’en sers lors de spectacles Jazz et je ne pourrais pas m’en passer. À la question :
Quelle caisse claire garderais-tu si tu avais à vendre ta collection… vous devinez la

I present you my AK 6”x13” copper snare drum
I have the pleasure of playing with this jewel received from Italy in 2020.
It was very interesting to discuss with the designer Adrian Kirchler about the spectra and
that he does everything by himself. There is even an engraving of my name on the
case. I use it at jazz shows and couldn’t do without it. When asked
which case you would keep if you had to sell your collection… You can guess the
answer.

J’ai rêvé depuis ma préadolescence à l’âge de 11 ans de ce Kit Ludwig à partir principalement de la pochette du 33 Tours de l’album de Deep Purple « Made in Japan » paru en 1972. Le célèbre batteur Ian Paice avait un Silver Sparkle identique au mien sauf sa Grosse Caisse qui était de dimension 26 x 14. De plus, toute la musique que j’écoutais dans les ’70 avait très souvent un batteur qui jouait sur cette batterie identique de couleur Silver Sparkle. Pour en nommer quelques-uns : Ginger Baker, Roger Taylor, Keith Moon, Alex Van Halen, Peter Criss et Nick Mason.

Ainsi pour moi ce fut évident dans mon cheminement de carrière d’avoir un jour après 47 ans ce kit emblématique. Je suis depuis plus de 3 ans constamment à la recherche d’information sur ces Vintage Kits. J’y ai découvert en fait une nouvelle passion. J’ai des contacts avec plusieurs collectionneurs américains qui vendent et achètent de ces merveilleux kits. Mon bonheur est toujours comblé quand je le sors du studio de répétition pour un spectacle « live ».

I dreamed since my pre-adolescence at the age of 11 years of this Kit Ludwig
Based mainly on the cover of the 33 rpm album of Deep Purple, “Made in Japan” was released
Japan was released in 1972. The famous drummer Ian Paice had a Silver Sparkle identical to mine, except for his Big Drum, which was 26 x 14. Also, all the music that
I listened to in the 70’s often had a drummer playing on this identical Silver Sparkle drum set. To name a few: Ginger Baker, Roger Taylor, Keith Moon, Alex VH, Peter Criss, and Nick Mason.

So for me, it was an obvious step in my career path to have this iconic kit one day after 47 years.
47 years for this emblematic kit. I have been constantly searching for information on these Vintage Kits for over 3 years. I have actually discovered a new passion. I have contacts with several American collectors who sell and buy these wonderful kits. My happiness is always fulfilled when I take it out of the rehearsal studio for a live show.
